This Privacy Policy explains how Lucon collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Lucon Operator (Driver) App. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1) Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Lucon Operator (Driver) mobile application and related services (the “Services”). The Driver App is used by drivers and operators to receive bookings, navigate to pickup/drop-off, communicate with passengers, and manage earnings and compliance information.

2) Information We Collect

A) Information you provide

  • Account & Identity: name, phone number, email (if provided), driver/operator ID, profile photo (optional).
  • Vehicle & Compliance: vehicle details (make/model/plate), insurance/registration/permit info, expiry dates, vehicle photos (optional).
  • Support communications: messages you send to support and related metadata.

B) Information collected automatically

  • Device & App: device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, crash logs, and diagnostics.
  • Identifiers: device identifiers and push notification tokens (for sending booking updates and security alerts).
  • Usage data: screens viewed, feature interactions, and performance analytics (to improve reliability).

C) Trip & operational data

  • Booking details: booking codes, pickup/drop-off, timestamps, trip status, service type (car/boat/tour).
  • Messages: in-app chat/messages between driver and passenger (where enabled) and related timestamps.
  • Earnings: trip earnings, commissions, payouts, and settlement status.

3) How We Use Information

  • To provide the Services: authenticate drivers, assign/dispatch bookings, and show trip details.
  • To enable navigation and operational features (pickup accuracy, route guidance, ETA updates).
  • To facilitate communication with passengers and support (messages, calls where enabled).
  • To process payouts/earnings reporting and maintain transaction records.
  • To monitor performance, prevent fraud/abuse, and improve app stability and security.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.

4) How We Share Information

We may share information in the following situations:

A) With passengers

  • Driver first name (or display name), profile photo (if provided), and rating (if enabled).
  • Vehicle details (vehicle type, plate number, and vehicle photo if available).
  • Live trip status and approximate location during an active booking (when trip tracking is enabled).

B) With service providers

We may use third-party vendors for hosting, analytics, crash reporting, messaging, maps, and payment processing. They process data only under our instructions where applicable.

C) For legal and safety reasons

  • To comply with law enforcement requests, court orders, or legal processes.
  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of drivers, passengers, and the platform.

D) Business transfers

If Lucon is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5) Location Data

The Driver App may collect location data to enable core functionality such as driver availability, dispatching, pickup navigation, trip tracking, and safety features.

You can disable location permissions in your phone settings, but the app may not work correctly (e.g., receiving trips, showing ETAs, or enabling live tracking) if location is off.

6) App Permissions

  • Location: for dispatching, navigation, and trip tracking.
  • Notifications: to send booking alerts, trip updates, security messages.
  • Camera/Photos (optional): to upload profile/vehicle photos and compliance documents (if enabled).
  • Microphone/Phone (optional): only if you choose to use call features or voice features (if enabled).

7) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect information. However, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your login details and device secure.

8) Data Retention

We retain personal information as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary by data type (e.g., trip and payment records may be retained longer for accounting).

9) Your Choices & Rights

  • Access & updates: You can review and update certain profile data within the app.
  • Delete/deactivate: You may request account deactivation via support (subject to legal retention needs).
  • Opt-out: You can control notifications in your device settings; operational messages may still be required for service delivery.
  • Location control: You can change location permissions in your device settings (may limit features).

10) Children

The Driver App is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11) International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, depending on hosting and service providers. We take steps to protect information consistent with this Policy.

12) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice in-app or by other reasonable means. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
